Oxstock 2026

9th – 11th October 2026
Welcome to Oxstock: our first wee community festival. Organised by local folk, it’s a special weekend of affordable, quality events and we hope you will join us!
OCDL aims to build on the positive community dynamic which is evident in our village. Our first-ever local weekend festival Oxstock has a focus on quality music, writing and workshops. Our exciting programme brings performers and writers to our local community. Run by local volunteers, we bring a blend of local talent and big names from across Scotland to Oxton.
As a small rural community with limited public transport options there are many in the village and beyond whose opportunities to enjoy high quality music and arts events can be limited. At the heart of the project idea is making such experiences more accessible.
Tickets are bookable via the links below:
Friday 9th October

Few people would argue that Yogi Haughton’s contribution to the British house, soul and dance scene has been nothing short of remarkable. He was part of the first wave of resident DJ’s at the world’s longest running club, The Sub Club, in Glasgow. Now living in the Scottish Borders, with a collection of more than 70,000 records, Yogi is a true music pioneer. DJ Magazine called him ‘the John Peel of Dance Music’, and Radio 4 said ‘Yogi is a genuine database of music, from northern soul to house and everything in between’.
He has played at some of the world’s most iconic clubs, and recorded and released tracks for some uber-cool labels, including Rumour Records, R&S, Chicago’s Guidance Records, and Vibe in Miami. Yogi also runs MFSB, a daytime club in Edinburgh, now in its thirteenth year, and is a regular spinner at Hector’s House in Edinburgh, where he DJ’s and inspires a younger audience. Wherever Yogi spins, he always brings the joy!
Sisters of Soul are an all female, Glasgow-based ensemble whose harmonious arrangements cover soul, pop, jazz, motown and gospel.
